Summer Capital of the Philippines

Baguio City is known as the summer capital of the Philippines. This city has an almost temperate climate, due to its location which is in the Cordillera mountain range. It has been the favorite place for a vacation of almost every Filipino and foreigners, especially during summer because of its cool climate. The Burnham Park is one of its attractions, which features a rectangular lagoon and open fields. You can visit the Baguio City Cathedral which is built on top of a hill, on its right side in the Session Road. In Session Road you can find a lot of shops and restaurants. It is also a place for visitors who wish to enjoy nightlife. Enjoy a breathtaking view of Benguet’s gold and copper mines in the Mines View Park. Those who enjoy golf can go to the Camp John Hay, which was once a military recreational camp of the Americans during the World War II. After a tour relax and stay at a nice hotel called The Manor. Take a stroll at The Mansion House, which is the official summer residence of the President of the Philippines. Take pictures with the Igorot tribesmen in the Baguio Botanical Garden, popularly known as the Igorot Village.
