Batanes Island

Batanes Island is the smallest province in the Philippines. Batanes lies in the enormous waters of the Pacific Ocean. This island has been isolated from the Philippines; because of this, the people living here, which are called the Ivatans developed a different culture.
Visitors here can’t help but notice their houses which are made of stone walled and thick roofs; it is built as a protection against typhoons.
Most frequently visited places in this island are the House of Dakay, Lighthouses of Batanes, St. Dominic de Guzman Parish Cathedral, Mahatao View Deck and many more. Discover the pre-historic burial caves in the town of Itbayat. Enjoy their beaches, such as the Chadpiden Beach and White Beach. Similar to Camiguin. Take a stroll at the Pavaman, which is also known as the “Marlboro Country”, it is a pasture overlooking farm fields.
